On the last night of 2015, Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer opens Rockin’ & Roastin’ Café & Restaurant – At the Mountain, located at the foot of South Ridge Lodge in the heart of the Sunday River Ski Resort. Guests will be treated to a four-course customizable prix fixe menu, a front row seat with panoramic views of the Sunday River fireworks, and DJ Jim Smith blaring the best of rock ‘n roll classics over a state-of-the-art sound.
The restaurant is named for Kramer’s Rockin’ & Roastin’ 100% USDA organic certified custom roasted coffee (visit www.rockinandroastin.com). Unlike “sun grown” coffee that’s cheaper to produce but requires chemical fertilizers and pesticides and leads to the destruction of native rainforests, Rockin’ & Roastin’ coffee is cultivated using the traditional “shade grown” method, under a canopy of indigenous trees, that leads to Arabica beans. This sustainable practice supports a wide diversity of plant and animal life, provides food and shelter to migrating birds, and helps to filter carbon dioxide from the air, reducing the danger of global warming. The brand currently offers a trio of international blends including a medium roast from Guatemala; a medium-dark roast from Ethiopia and, a dark roast from Sumatra.
