BOSTON – The French Wine Scholar starts in Boston on April 5th with Jo-Ann Ross and  Wine Educator, John Fiola who are bringing the program to the Boston Center for Adult Education for nine weeks covering 14 regions of French Wine. Enrollment to 15 students and tuition is $975.

The French Wine Scholar ™ (FWS) Study and Certification Program is designed for wine professionals and enthusiastic wine hobbyists who want to immerse themselves in the most current, accurate, and in-depth information on the wines and the wine regions of France, Ross explains. Developed with the support of the French Ministry of Agriculture, the FWS program covers 14 French Wine Regions over nine consecutive weeks and concludes with an exam.

 

Students who follow the detailed curriculum and pass the exam will earn the FWS post-nominal.

The class will cover:

Week 1: Introduction and Alsace region
Week 2: Champagne
Week 3: Burgundy: Part 1
Week 4: Burgundy Part 2 and Beaujolais
Week 5: Rhone Valley
Week 6: Southern France: Languedoc, Roussillon, and Provence
Week 7: Loire Valley
Week 8: Bordeaux
Week 9: Southwest France, Jura, Savoie, and Corsica
Week 10: No Class
Week 11: Final exam

TUITION: $975.00
