Savor’s celebration of food, wine & spirits returns to Hartford today thru Apr. 9

HARTFORD – Robert Irvine of Restaurant Impossible on The Food Network brings Savor, A celebration of Wine, Food & Spirits to the Hartford Convention Center today through Saturday, April 9, joined by other leading culinarians and top regional chefs to showcase the vibrant New England culinary scene.

The event partially donates proceeds to the Robert Irvine Foundation, a non-profit that honors men and women who defend the U.S.

Today’s events include Savor the Legend from 7 to 9 p.m. where guests “savor the legends of Pappy Van Winkle” with Irvine and Plan B Burger Bar at the Kentucky style soiree.

Tomorrow and Saturday bring the Grand Tasting. 7 to 10:30 p.m. and noon to 4 on Saturday, featuring bold cuisine, stylish wines, craft beers, and trendy spirits. Celebrity chefs perform, demonstrating signature recipes on the Savor Culinary Demonstration Stage.

Also on Saturday is a Charity Gala from 7:30 to 11 p.m. where celebrity chefs bring their special dishes paired with outstanding wines and other libations.

Taking part are top CT, MA and NY chefs and restaurateurs including Edward Allen and Franck Iglesias from Foxwood Resort, Bill Carbone of Dish Bar & Grill, Hartford, Vinnie Carbone, Carbone’s Kitchen, Hartford, Zac Young, David Burke Group, NY, Dino Giordano, 30Boltwood, Amherst, MA and numerous other celebrities.
