Wine of the Week – Valdo Prosecco Superiore Oro Puro

From Italy comes this beautiful Valdo Prosecco Superiore, created by a 90-year-old winery that was bought in the 1940’s by the Bolla Family. Today, winemaker Gino Cini makes this delicious Prosecco, sometimes connecting stems as long as one meter to horizontal wire to bring out the aromatic, fruity features of the original vines.

The 100% Glera grapes are soft pressed and fermented in mid-September at the peak of ripening and undergo aging that ends with three months in the bottle.

This Prosecco is 11.5% ABV. It offers a straw yellow color and a floral, fruity experience that is both savory and aromatic. It’s imported by Pasternak Wine Imports. The suggested retail price is $19.99. Celebrate the start of a new year with a sparkling Prosecco that sings!
