BOSTON – BESPOKE, a new addition to COCHON555, takes place tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at SoWA Power Station in the South End. Come listen, share ideas and more. Making its national debut, the symposium aims to enrich the culinary and intellectual worlds of all present beginning with keynote speeches by leading thinkers such as Dr. Amy Trubek (Vermont Professor and author of Taste Of Place: A Cultural Journey into Terroir) and Adam Sharp (formerly Twitter’s Head of News, Politics, and Elections). A four person panel will address issues of power, labor, diversity, and class in the restaurant industry, followed by a series of intimate talking circles pairing no more than 15 guests with each of the day’s guest speakers for lively, themed discussions. This marks the beginning of a partnership between Cochon555 and the American Friends of the world’s most prestigious forum for food studies, the Oxford Symposium on Food & Cookery.
