Farming module allows locally produced food year-round

Exsilo’s EkoFARMER, a Finnish company seeking “co-creation partners” who want to develop their own farming modules, calculates that the module, which doesn’t occupy much space, can go almost anywhere to produce approximately 55,000 pots of salad annually, nearly three times as much as produced in a greenhouse. The plants, on multiple floors, can be cultivated year-round and the light and humidity controlled perfectly, the company says. Go to www.exsilio.fi or www.ekofarmer.fi for more info.
