NEW YORK – In Manhattan, Eighth Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets is emerging as a new gourmet corridor, says Faith Hope Consolo at Douglas Elliman which was recently awarded the exclusive agency to lease 207 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea. Eighth Avenue is taking off, with Momofuku and Milk Bar Chelsea on the corner of 22nd, across the street from the Foragers Market and Wine stores,” says, Consolo who is chairman of The Retail Team. “This is a great corridor for dining and gourmet specialty stores.”
Rutgers getting new kosher restaurant
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Rutgers University’s Hillel House will get a restaurant, Owner/Chef Dalia Barness’ second restaurant. Barness, who owns The Orchid in Metuchen, will serve Mediterranean/Tunisian flabors and contemporary American fare, according to Elan Kornblum of Great Kosher Restaurants.
