The Spirit(s) World – Bowmore Devil’s Casks 10 Years Old

There’s a Scottish legend that the devil once visited the Round Church in Bowmore, a village where the church had no corners so he had nowhere to hide. Spotted by the congregation in the church, the devil was chased through the village and into Bowmore Distillery’s famous No. 1 Vaults where he was lost.
He was believed to have escaped into a case of Bowmore bound for the mainland, a story that served as the inspiration for Devil’s Casks which is matured exclusively and uniquely in the finest first fill sherry casks for 10 years to bring out its intense qualities.
That being said, Bowmore® introduces the first Islay Single Malt whisky, non-chill-filtered and offered at cask strength – 56.9 percent ABV, with a suggested retail price of $89.99. Only 1,302 bottles are allocated for the US. You won’t want to miss offering this at the bar with a devilish smile.

The Spirit(s) World – Auchentoshan® Three Wood Single Malt Lowland Scotch Whiskey

This new single malt Scotch, which was matured in new ways within its brand and debuted in the US late this year, is said to be the only malt in Scotland to triple distill every single drop. The new Auchentoshan Virgin Oak Limited Release with a suggested retail price of $129.99 is Auchentoshan’s first whiskey exclusively matured in virgin North American oak casks, never before touched by any other spirit. The unusual aging technique where most whiskey is matured in former bourbon or sherry casks distinguishes it. Only 2,100 bottles are available of this unique Scotch (46 percent ABV) in this country.
This is an exceptional Scotch which must be tasted and savored slowly to capture its remarkable depth of flavor.
