NEWPORT, RI – A sophisticated, much-anticipated wine event returns this fall, September 22-25, when the Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival kicks off for its 11th year with elegant events from the Wine & Rosecliff Gala to Grand Tastings, Jazz Brunch, and seminars in The Breakers Stable and Carriage House.
The opening Wine & Rosecliff Gala in the exquisite Rosecliff Ballroom takes place the 22nd with a chef lineup that includes Chef Terence Feury of 41 North (Newport), Chef Josue Louis of Bistro du Midi (Boston), Chef Mary Dumont of Cultivar (Boston), Chef Lou Rossi of Castle Hill Inn (Newport), Chef Dante de Magistris of Dante (Boston), Chef Shaun Velez of Deuxave (Boston), Chef Will Gilson of Puritan & Co. (Cambridge), Chef Robert Sisca of ProvidenceG (Providence), Chef Kevin O’Donnell of SRV (Boston), Chef Peter Quinion of Parsnip (Cambridge), and Chef Jason Santos of Abby Lane (Boston). Featured wines include Champagne Taittinger (Champagne, FR), Maison Joseph Drouin (Burgundy, FR), Château D’Esclans (Provence, FR), Elk Cove Vineyards (Oregon), Chateau de Beaucastel (Rhone, FR), Catena Zapata (Mendoza, Argentina), Robert Mondavi Winery (Napa, CA), Marchesi di Barolo (Piedmont, IT), DAOU Vineyards (Paso Robles, CA), Champagne Gosset (Champagne, FR), Larkin Wines (Napa, CA) and Wölffer Estate Vineyard (Sagaponack, NY).
The Marble House once again holds the event’s Grand Tastings, two afternoons with entertainment and the chance to sample hundreds of top wines from around the world along with cuisine from local, regional and national restaurants.
This year’s event includes participation by Nobilo Oyster Seaside Bar, pop-up tastings in the Chinese Tea House and non-stop entertainment by chefs in the Rosé Grill Garden, presented by Chateau D’Esclans and Lynx Grills.

Proceeds from the Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival benefit The Preservation Society of Newport County, a non-profit organization accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and dedicated to preserving and interpreting the area’s historic architecture, landscapes and decorative arts. Its 11 historic properties—seven of them National Historic Landmarks—span more than 250 years of American architectural and social development.
