Wines of the Week

Cavit Pino Grigio

It’s summer and the perfect time for an inexpensive white wine for outdoor or indoor sipping! Cavit Collection Pinot Grigio 2016 Delle Venezie fills the bill – a refreshing white from the foothills of northern Italy’s Alps. Cavit has a history of more than 50 years of   quality winemaking. The crisp and refreshing wine has scents of citrus, apple and pear. The winemaker has what it calls a “mantra of sustainability” for the small, family-run plots of grapes. The Trentino vines yield grapes that led to award winning wines for Cavit, including a Winemaker of the Year honor from The Essential Guide to Italian Wines in 2015. The Pinot Grigio is 12.1 percent ABV, according to Chief Winemaker Anselmo Martini. The wine’s U.S. agent is Palm Bay International, Boca Raton, FL.
